Argentina and Spain have named their starting line-ups for Sunday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup final at the New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States.
Both teams released their starting XIs on their official X handles less than two hours before kick-off, scheduled for 8 p.m. WAT.
Defending champions Argentina will be led by captain Lionel Messi, who starts alongside Julián Álvarez in attack.
Goalkeeper Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez retains his place behind a back four of Gonzalo Montiel, Cristian Romero, Lisandro Martínez and Nicolás Tagliafico.
Rodrigo De Paul, Enzo Fernández, Alexis Mac Allister and Nico González make up the midfield

Spain, meanwhile, have retained Unai Simón in goal, with Pedro Porro, Pau Cubarsí, Aymeric Laporte and Marc Cucurella forming the defence
Rodri and Fabián Ruiz anchor the midfield, while Álex Baena, Dani Olmo and teenage sensation Lamine Yamal will support striker Mikel Oyarzabal.
